Established in 2008, AK Bricklayers Ltd is a Hamilton based brick and block laying company that operates across the Waikato Region
Directors Steve and Stu co-founded the company and have grown their business with strong whanaungatanga/family values that continue to be the foundation upon which they operate. We pride ourselves on quality and efficiency.

STEVE KETU | Director
Steve is of Tūwharetoa, Maniapoto, Ngāti Hāua and Waikato-Tainui descent. Born and raised in Taumarunui, he moved to Hamilton where he represented the Waikato across various rugby disciplines. Steve is the coach of the Waikato Mens Sevens team. He remains a keen Marist Rugby Club supporter and loves giving back by coaching his children’s teams.
STUART ASKEY | Director
Stu and his family moved to New Zealand from Birmingham England in 2007, in search of a simpler lifestyle. The landscape of the Waikato attracted them to Hamilton where Stu and his wife decided to settle and raise their three children.

Our logo is reflective of our values and depicts the following:

The peaks represent our directors whose leadership style and skillset complement one another.

The two colours represent different cultures working together to achieve success.

The logo’s concept is based on a ‘tukutuku panel’ symbolising a sense of place, direction, stability, and whakapapa.

The bricks represent our valued employees, who are central to the business. Reinforcing the whanaungatanga/family values of the company.
